Anyone with more than 25% of shares in the company is automatically a PSC. If you are the sole shareholder, you must select yourself as the following:

• Director
• Shareholder
• PSC

In the event that you have 4 or more shareholders (each with 25% of shares or less), the situation will arise where you will not necessarily have an automatic PSC. You can leave the application like this; however, it may be worth considering that some agencies, e.g. banks, may require you to have a PSC.

You can appoint an officer who does not have more than 25% of shares as a PSC, under the condition that they have 'Other significant influence or control' in the company.
