No, you do not receive a new Certificate of Incorporation. The Certificate of Incorporation will never change, it will always state the name that the company was formed with.
However, you will get a ‘Certificate of Incorporation on Change of Name’ (sometimes referred to as the ‘certificate of name change’). This document includes the following information:
- Company number
- Old company name
- New company name
- The date that the change took place
