Please note, manual certification of documents can be a costly and time-consuming process, and may not be acceptable unless carried out specifically to the instructions outlined below.
As such, it is strongly recommended that this method is used only in such circumstances where it is not possible to use the Credas App for this purpose.
If you are able to use the Credas App, please do so, as this is a much faster, reliable, and cost-free process.
UK / EU Residents
Your proof of ID document must be certified by one of the following persons or institutions who is not a friend or relative of the person(s) whose document(s) are being certified:
- The Post Office - https://www.postoffice.co.uk/identity/document-certification
- Civil Servant
- Minister of Religion
- Doctor
- Chartered Accountant
- Solicitor or Notary
- Teacher or Lecturer
The certifying person should make a direct photocopy of the document, and print the following on the same page as the photocopy:
"Certified to be a true copy of the original seen by me”
Their name, address and occupation.
The date of certification.
Please note, only manually certified, direct photocopies of documents can be accepted.
We cannot accept digital certification, nor can we accept certification of digital photographs, even if printed.
Non-EU Residents
We will require your proof of ID to be notarised by a Public Notary.
